Wall Street benefits as result of Democrat's CRA meltdown

I was sent an email by a chummy liberal complaining about bonuses on Wall-Street. That is not the cause of the problem, that is the result of the problem. When the Democrats and their revamped C.R.A from the 90's started to kill off lending institutions because housing values began to dip, many people started to sell their stocks. This accelerated when it became apparent that Obama was going to win the election. Everyone said to themselves: Is there hope that the stock market will do well with a socialist in office: nope.  Nope to hope, Nope to the dope in the oval office So the result, although fueled by some logic, and much emotion, was a dip of the stock market by 40%. I lost more than half of everything I had in there. I only sold a few stocks in time, the rest I let ride, especially since it is in mutual funds. Perhaps I should have more control over those, more visibility.

So when all this happened, all that selling provided huge commissions to traders. That's the result of the mess, not the cause.  Thus the bonuses. In another year you will see those commissions and bonuses drop dramatically, because there is little left to sell, thanks to the Democrats. I personally think the whole thing was timed as a way to get Obama elected, not that it was avoidable, but perhaps it was delayed and exasperated by insiders close to the Democrats.  In case you haven't noticed, Wall Street always votes for and donates to Democrats.  Why? Politics makes strange bedfellows. Both institutions are fueled by emotion and illogical behavior.

 Check this out:
This is typical of the Democrats.

5. Senate Democrats Add Absurdities to Obama's Spending Plan

The list is extraordinary and mind numbingly stupid. And how exactly does any of it create new, sustainable jobs?

$20 million "for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers." (Pg. 45 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "20,000,000 for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers)

$400 million for STD prevention (Pg. 60 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "CDC estimates that a proximately 19 million new STD infections occur annually in the United States ...The Committee has included $400,000,000 for testing and prevention of these conditions.")

$25 million to rehabilitate off-roading (ATV) trails (Pg. 45 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "$25,000,000 is for recreation maintenance, especially for rehabilitation of off-road vehicle routes, and $20,000,000 is for trail maintenance and restoration")

$34 million to remodel the Department of Commerce HQ (Pg. 15 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: $34,000,000 for the Department of Commerce renovation and modernization")

$70 million to "Support Supercomputing Activities" for climate research (Pgs. 14-15 of Senate Appropriations Committee Report: $70,000,000 is directed to specifically support supercomputing activities, especially as they relate to climate research)

$150 million for honey bee insurance (Pg. 102 of Senate Appropriations Committee report: "The Secretary shall use up to $ 50,000,000 per year, and $150,000,000 in the case of 2009, from the Trust Fund to provide emergency relief to eligible producers of livestock, honey bees, and farm-raised fish to aid in the reduction of losses due to disease, adverse weather, or other conditions, such as blizzards and wildfires, as determined by the Secretary")

Rush is right!

Go Rush!

How Not To Call Out An Opponent

It's nice to see what you were thinking validated, almost universally. Rush slams the president; the president slams back. Guess who wins?

“He’s the president of the United States and all Rush Limbaugh is is a radio talk show host,” said Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers Magazine. “Once again, Rush Limbaugh raises the stature of our industry to the world stage.”

Brian Maloney, author of the Radio Equalizer blog, called it a political blunder of “epic proportions,” noting the story was picked up worldwide.

“Obama has now basically said that ‘my key political opposition is Rush Limbaugh,’ ” said Maloney, who said Limbaugh’s ratings were probably five times higher than normal yesterday. “He must have been popping champagne corks over the weekend.”

George W. Bush spent eight years in the center of a circular firing squad how many times did he call out one particular media opponent?

To think our international opponents are studying these game films as we speak.

Rejoice

Everyone rejoice! Now that Obama has undergone coronation in the emaculation yesterday,  I feel that all my problems have gone away!
  • My mortgage and monthly bills have been mysteriously paid for.
  • I am now thinner, taller, fitter, healthier and sexier.
  • My boss give me a raise today completely out of the blue.
  • All kids everywhere are suddenly better behaved, and saying "Yes, sir/ma'am".
  • The sky and the sun look brighter today.
  • My 1999 car is suddenly brand new.
  • My stock portfolio is back up to the Bush levels of a few months ago.
  • Certainly, there is  new vigor in my step, and a sudden lust for life much enhanced.
  • Even all my neighbors wave to me as I drive down the street.

No I Won’t!

Pitch-in

A conversation with respect to the inauguration:
On Tue, Jan 20, 2009 at 8:11 PM, an Obama supporter wrote:

Too bad you had to work today. I spent it all watching the inauguration. The country is in its best spirits in 8 years. Thousands of smiling faces waving American flags lined all of D.C. My wife, a registered republican all her life, wore red, white and blue for the first time in 8 years. People are proud to say they're Americans again. Great ceremony and a speech for the books, well delivered and inspiring. They will be talking about this inauguration for years. Obama is just what we needed after 8 years of that destitute decrepit Bush.
The few of us Americans who 'work' have to support all those others that Barak is going to be giving things to.

Since Obama wants us all to 'pitch-in' I want to see all those hordes who were cheering for him also pitch in. I want to see them go out and get a job, and if they can't find one, I want to see them join his volunteer organization to do things for others. When I see that, I will join in and give him credit for the enthusiasm.

Gag me with a spoon...

That didn't take long, exactly noon they changed it.
A bit egocentric, perhaps?

whitehouse.gov (BEFORE)

WhiteHouse.gov (before), I wonder how quickly before it changes. My guess, only minutes to go. Very tactful now...

Thank you President Bush! I will miss you

I want to personally thank President Bush for keeping us all safe after 9/11/2001! Thank you Mr. President! I will miss you.
"I guess the biggest success would have to be the fact that we haven’t been attacked. I think the president says that, and I think he is accurate. Clearly, we have not been attacked since then. It was a joint effort but nonetheless a success."
— Steny Hoyer, House Majority Leader (D-Md.)

Now compare that to this response I recently received.. Let's hope that the Bush Derangement Syndrome will subside, give it a rest!
Bush showed the U.S. to be unjust, aggressive for no reason, ungrateful, stupid, greedy, restrictive, secretive, a breaker of treaties, untrustworthy, you name it, every decrepit thing you can think of, that's what Bush made us, anything but proud. We're all so damn glad that filthy bastard is gone.

Global Warming Update:

Global Warming Update

Maine, USA: -47° F

We're talking dogs-sticking-to-the-sidewalk cold. If there were any justice at all in this world, the inauguration next Tuesday would see Washington D.C. with -47° F temperatures.

I'm told:
So What? Wanna bet we have an unusual warm spell sometime this spring or summer?
But I say: Who cares about spring and summer. Winter is when we need the warming. Think of how many birds and wildlife are dying!

And again I'm told:
You miss the point.
Yea, I know the point. The point is that socialist liberals want total control of the means of production in their quest to have absolute domination over all their subjects. So they use Global Warming and climate change as a scare tactic in their hoax to attain that control. But now I see they have found an even better mechanism: banking meltdown.

Great Global Warming Hoax - yea it is a hoax

Global Warming Skepticism Panic Attack at Huffington Post

from NewsBusters.org blogs by P.J. Gladnick

Please pay no attention to the evidence right outside your windows! Despite the fact that we are experiencing the coldest weather in decades, Kevin Grandia blogging at the Huffington Post wants you to ignore this and start worrying about the growing trend of global warming skepticism. According to Grandia, questioning the holy theology of the Church of Global Warming is a seriously disturbing heresy. He even catalogued the increased levels of global warming skepticism by analyzing Google search stats in excruciating detail:

Our 2008 analysis of global warming misinformation finds that there was a very significant upswing in online activity.

This trend should be troubling to US policymakers and campaigners wanting to implement new greenhouse gas reduction strategies.

Here's the stats I've generated as evidence of my conclusions:

"Global Warming" hoax

A Google blog search for the term "global warming" hoax between January 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009 reports 49,719 page results. The same search for the previous year reports only 22,077 page results.

Eeek! The number of global warming thought crimes more than doubled in just a year. Grandia continues to give us more "grim" Google statistics about this growing heresy:

"Global Warming" skeptic

A Google blog search for the term "global warming" skeptic between January 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009 reports 73,956 page results. The same search for the previous year reports only 38,346 page results.  Fancy graph.

Outside of a small band of ideologically motivated outlets, the majority of the mainstream media is unwilling to cover the nonsensical junk science of the right-wing think tanks and their cadre of scientists for hire. With this the case, the Internet is exploding with such information. And at the same time that we're seeing significantly more of this misinformation being spread about global warming online, we're also seeing more people than ever using the Internet as their main source of news and information.

But..but Kevin. How can we keep the majority of mainstream media, who are in the tank with you over global warming, from preventing their weather people from delivering reports about the record cold temperatures? Grandia delivers more sad news about why the global warming ideology is crumbling:

Here's some recent findings that should trouble anyone working to implement new laws to reduce greenhouse gas emissions:

1) The Internet is now a larger source of news for people than newspapers.

Research conducted in December, 2008 by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press found that the  Internet is now used as a news source by more Americans than newspapers. The report found that: "for the first time in a Pew survey, more people say they rely mostly on the Internet for news than cite newspapers (35%). Television continues to be cited most frequently as a main source for national and international news, at 70%."

2) Millions of people are seeking global warming information online.

In an average month more than 2.2 million people in the United States search for the term "global warming" on Google and another 368,000 people search for the term "climate change." The more climate misinformation that is posted on the Internet, the more likely that people searching for information on global warming will be exposed to it. In fact the number 2 search result  for "global warming" on Google is currently a website run by the thoroughly discredited Competitive Enterprise Institute.

Gasp! How dare people search for global warming information on their own outside of the reliable mainstream media which continues to support this climatic notion despite evidence to the contrary! Grandia concludes that in order to combat the growing global warming skepticism, more propaganda is going to have to shoved down the throat of the public:

If this is going to be the year that we have the political leadership in the United States with the will to take real action on climate change, we're all going to have to double, or even triple our efforts to dispel the myths and lies being spread online about the realities of the situation.

Of course, in order to promote the global warming ideology, Grandia might want to start by silencing Harold Ambler who wrote this incredible heresy in his own Huffington Post:

Mr. Gore has stated, regarding climate change, that "the science is in." Well, he is absolutely right about that, except for one tiny thing. It is the biggest whopper ever sold to the public in the history of humankind.

So the first place to send in the global warming Thought Police would be right there in the Huffington Post. In fact, Kevin Grandia might want to send some of the comments on his own Huffington Post blog down the Memory Hole:

Man and Climate Scientists don't understand the earth's thermostat. Precipitation events have a cooling effect on the climate. 75% of the earth is covered by water, and we don't have accurate records of the precipitation events. The 2007 United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is not nearly as impressive as the name sounds. They have thrown out all conflicting data with their theory, and most have a political agenda of a one world government run by the United Nations.

No scienties doubts that global warming and global cooling exist. It is fact that there has been periods of warming and cooling in earths past due to ice core data and other types of research. What no one can truly claim is that this warming....possibly cooling phase now is man maid. Seeing as how the earth has been warming up and cooling down for as long as it's been a planet i'm going with a natural reason.

I tend to suspect apocalyptic theories because of their great popular appeal, particularly ones that make human beings culprits in our own demise. For me the jury is still out on global warming, and the internet will continue to be a source of information pro and con. I"m a skeptic rather than a dissenter.

Over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe challenged man-made global warming claims made by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ( IPCC ) and former Vice President Al Gore. This new 231-page U.S. Senate Minority Report -- updated from 2007"s groundbreaking report of over 400 scientists who voiced skepticism about the so-called global warming "consensus" -- features the skeptical voices of over 650 prominent international scientists, including many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN IPCC. This updated report includes an additional 250 ( and growing ) scientists and climate researchers since the initial release in December 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists ( 52 ) who authored the media-hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.

And remember, Kevin, the above replies to your blog were made on that dreaded Internet where you ironically posted your complaints about using the Web as a source for climate information.
