I've heard this 'Obama promotes hope' thing before. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. We need jobs. We need actual results and achieving good economic progress.

WWII was a direct out-shoot of the world depression of the 1930s.

Depressions only cause more war, not peace.

Only prosperity promotes peace. This is one prize that was not deserved.
