Re: Fwd: Hostage Crisis

For 2 years there has been an appreciable deficit as a percentage of the gross national product.

Before that it was not very appreciable.

Obama quadrupled the deficit  ...  that x4  (times 4).

Bush's average deficit was about $250 Billion.
Obama's average deficit (so far) is $1.45 Trillion.
That's $1450 Billion

If you take Bush's last two years, Obama's quadrupled the deficit.

What we need RIGHT NOW, is to cut spending to the point that the deficit goes down to Bush deficit levels, which can be sustained because the ration is 4 times lower, especially when compared to the GDP.

Not only that, but unemployment averaged 5% under Bush and Clinton. It's averaging 9% under Obama.

Note that the deficit as a percentage of GDP, under
Bush: 2.5%
Obama: 10%

how long has there been any deficit?

I guess you don't get it.
Not shutdown.
Don't spend MORE than you take in.

shutting down or wanting government to shutdown...(even though you must recognize the shutdown AND startup expenditures are outrageous and the inconvenience to many groups of people would be extreme) it indicates anarchy...not simply the mild desire for a balanced budget....

imagine going home...ripping your wife's purse away from her, (this time not because you want to match it with your heels)....taking all of her money...cards...checkbooks...doing the same to Tracin....demanding that the spending ends until you can get to a perfectly balanced budget would not work at the 3 person household...how would it work in the US government...especially since you always claim it is too large? Be practical and reasonable and your desire for a balanced budget will not come with as much scoff and laughter as the teabaggers and their 60 billion dollar cut demands.

that's a stretch.
I only ask for a balanced budget, and you turn that into anarchy.

I'm frankly hoping for a shutdown for a change.
You know, HOPE n' CHANGE
If they shut down, then the IRS won't be hunting for the thousands of dollars I supposedly owe come April 15th.
That's a win-win for everyone. A win for taxpayers, and a win for everyone, because who needs the stink'n government anyway.

tea-baggers...what can I say....

If the President of the United States tries to illustrate one of the many reasons that shutting down the government would be a problem and he happens to pick national parks as being affected....details about whether a particular park is open or not yet are foolish concerns. It shows like many other objections thrown up by the Rs that they miss the larger point in their zeal to make the President look bad...it is NOT disingenuous to say that a gov shutdown will impact the National parks. BTW, President Obama is not at fault because a National park has hours of operation....nor is it in anyone's interest to stop people like you who would feel that it is ok to disregard the posted hours and 'walk into the woods' anyhow...further...this is not an argument that supports your claim that P.Obama is disingenuous.

From: Indy

What's soo disingenuous about the national park debate:
Every time I go to a park, there is never anyone there.
All you do is park you car, and walk into the woods: That's it!
So why would the park be closed?
And even if it is, go ahead, there's no one on duty, remember!

What President Obama is really saying:

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we stop paying the military!"

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we won't mail you your IRS refund check!"

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we will ruin the tourists' vacations who are going to DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival!"

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we will close the National Parks and ruin family vacations!"

Keep Reading for Friday's First Action Item

Should we give in to

their ransom demands?

Should we reward them for
making this kind of threat?

Should people like this be in
charge of our entire country?!!

President Obama and Senator Reid continue to damage America with every move they make.

Tea Party Patriots is committed to holding them accountable and making sure American voters know the truth.
