Prediction for 2010 Nobel Peace Prize: Ahmadinejad
What do the following Nobel Peace Prize winners all have in common?
- Jimmy Carter, 2002 Laureate
- United Nations Peacekeeping Forces, 1988 Winners
- Kofi Annan, 2001 Laureate
- Mohamed ElBaradei 2005 Laureate
- Yasser Arafat 1994 Laureate
- Barack Obama 2009
They are all ready to throw Israel under the bus, in one way or another. This makes my prediction for 2010 Nobel Peace Prize a piece of cake: with a nuke, they should really be able to throw Israel under the bus:
- October 26, 2005 - Ahmadinejad gave a speech at a conference in Tehran entitled "World Without Zionism". According to widely published translations, he agreed with a statement he attributed to Ayatollah Khomeini that the "occupying regime" had to be removed, and referred to it as a "disgraceful stain [on] the Islamic world", that needed to be "wiped from the pages of history."[166]
- February 25, 2007 - President Ahmadinejad says that Iran's nuclear program is unstoppable and, in a show of its growing technical prowess Iran reportedly fires a rocket into space for the first time.
- May 25, 2009 - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad rejects a Western proposal for Iran to freeze its nuclear work in return for a freeze on further U.N. sanctions and rules out further talks on the issue.
