Carbon tax, the IEEE and predicting the future
The goal for us, then, as those with forewarning of this encroaching socialism and tyranny, is to find a way to thrive in that future environment. We should look to Sweden and France to see how people thrive in spite of the extreme far left nature of the government. One man can't change the rushing tide, but one man can build himself stilts, or boats, or other mechanisms to weather the tide. What would you suggest?

Passing this along because it paints a good picture of how socialism is spreading from the far left nations like Sweden, to the left nations like France, to us. But it's all rolling our way, and it's been rolling our way slowly but surely for years.
In other words, when you see new socialist programs in Sweden, you can figure that a decade later, the same socialist program will appear in France, and then a decade later in the U.S. (give or take a few years).
Also, note how "environmentalists" are apparently even further to the left the "democratic socialists" in France. Yikes!
Also, note how even venerable institutions like the IEEE have been co-opted by the Left.
