Stimulate Small Business

I'm glad Don and Judy are finally beginning to see the light. Regardless of our disagreements over who is to 'blame' for the recession we are in, what we really need to concentrate on is how to fix the problem.

I believe the Democrats have applied the wrong fix (stimulus), thus making the problem worse; and even this simple email you have forwarded seems to agree with my premise.

Most economists believe that a better solution is to try to create more domestic jobs by stimulating small business, who employ mostly domestic individuals, not with money from the government, but to allow them to keep more of their own money: Tax breaks for small business.

Obama and congress could fix our economy very soon if they simply came out and said that they are going to freeze capital gains taxes at 15% (instead of letting them expire at the end of next year), gave small business a 20% cut in taxes, and one final thing:

Drill, baby Drill.  That will preclude sending more our money to the Arabs and will create lots of new jobs. 

If these simple but effective measures don't happen now, under Obama, they will in 2013 under president Palin, so Obama might as well jump the gun, because that will save his presidency.

Sometime this year, we taxpayers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment.   This is a very exciting new program. I will explain it using the Q and A format:

  ?      If you buy a car, it will go to Japan .
  ?      If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .
  ?      If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

  1      spending it at yard sales, or
  2      going to ball games, or
  3      spending it on prostitutes, or
  4      beer or
  5      tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the US .)

I'm going to go to a ball game and have a beer with a tattooed prostitute that I met at a yard sale!  Yay!

Now that indeed sounds like the genesis of a truly stimulating afternoon!
